Gats: you need to give me more assignments, babe. i won another something from ebay
Kelly: aba! aba! mauudlot ang bili ko nyan
Gats:
~~~
Nginitian lang ako ha. Kita niyo? Nawiwili na po ang aking asawa sa pag-shopping online gamit ang paypal account ko. In fairness, aware naman siya na kelangan niyang bawiin ang mga bili-bili nya ng kanyang mga star wars, gundam, and iba pang achoo-choo-choo.
More assignments pala ha? Madami ako ngayon. Lagot ka.
I’ll be in hibernation for a while because the husband and I will be spending the next couple of days celebrating the three years we’ve been married (yes, happy anniversary to us!).
We have always wanted to stay at this popular bed & breakfast place in Tagaytay ever since I read about it here. At last, we get to spend our night there tomorrow. I’ll fill you in with the details when we get back
Meanwhile, I’ll load you with never-before-seen (on this blog) photos of us through the past (3) years. Enjoy and don’t forget to comment on how thin I was pre-Manu (bwahahaha):
Formula 1 fans unite! This year Formula 1 will be held twice in Asia (in Singapore and in Malaysia) so there are more chances to catch the action live. My husband and his friends are big fans of the Ferrari F1 team and have been rooting for their favorite team for more than a decade now. Of course, most of them were heartbroken when Michael Schumacher retired from racing to be replaced by younger talents like Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton. With the season almost here, you can bet that F1 addicts will be racing home on Saturday and Sunday evenings to watch the qualifying rounds and the actual races.
For Filipinos, like my husband and his friends, Asian courses are the most accessible if and when they do decide to watch the races live. But for those who would want to see the races in European countries such as Belgium, Spain, Monacco, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Hungary, there are online sites where you can get your Sports Tickets, even Concert Tickets pretty much like online airline ticket purchases – now isn’t that convenient?! Tickets available online anytime. Never content with just watching the action at home, arrangements like these will definitely make it easier to experience the events live, up-close, personal and definitely more exciting.
As mentioned in this post, our trip to Singapore will be my and Gats’ first with a toddler in tow. I know it will be a bit different from my previous travels BUT I didn’t realize it would be THAT different.
You see, when my family travels abroad, all me and my siblings do is shop, shop, and shop some more until our legs (and pockets) couldn’t take it any longer. Well, that’s exactly what happened the past five days. Except I wasn’t able to do it. Truthfully, I was envious of them. I wished I could do what I’d done before. But I couldn’t because the little one needs daddy and mommy’s attention all the time. We couldn’t stay in one store for more than a few minutes because Manu would just get cranky. We knew that we had to keep him busy with play so he wouldn’t get “inip”. We knew that one of us had to sacrifice some – correction: a lot of – shopping hours so that the other would be free to roam around and spend money on whatever she fancies (if you notice the pronouns, you’d know who did what
). Gats and I knew that this trip would definitely be different.
BUT.
Despite this shallow difference, every minute with my two boys was BLISS. I wouldn’t exchange THAT for anything.
I’ll leave you with a picture of my lovely boys making faces during our New Year’s Eve dinner at The Carousel, Royal Plaza on Scotts (will post more pics in the coming days):
Dear Gats,
When I married you, I knew you’d be the perfect husband. But I never knew that you would be the perfect father to our son.
I love seeing the way you take care of Manu, and especially how you handle him when he becomes terribly difficult. What you did just a few minutes go amazed me so much. Parenting seems to be so natural with you. I know you don’t read parenting books as much as I do yet you always know how to approach each and every situation with the little boy. This is why I want you to know that I appreciate you and the things you do for Manu and me so very very very much. I love you. We love you.
Talked (well, more like ym-ed
) to the husband earlier.
told him why I gave him the cold shoulder.
He said sorry of course.
I didn’t want this happening again so I suggested that we tell each other our expectations next time.
So, everything’s well now.
barely said anything to the husband yesterday.
He pissed me off BIG time.
But I’m feeling a lot calmer now.
will probably kiss and make up tonight.
As soon as I saw Toni’s tag, I knew I had to do it immediately as I am now planning on what to give hubby this Christmas. I haven’t given him gifts for two important occasions already - our anniversary and his birthday (my bad!), so I will make bawi this Christmas by giving him a special gift. (continue reading…)
