SBD round 2

On: July 15th, 2010 at 12:09 am | In: exercise and diet

I am attending a wedding in two weeks and if I don’t start with the South Beach Diet beginning tomorrow, I don’t know how else to lose inches and get rid of belly fat.

I have already asked my supplier, Coffee Crew, to deliver the meals tomorrow and have made some “requests”, i.e., no scallops, kebabs, and the red garnish on the salad.   I’m worried though that the owner hasn’t responded to my text messages since I made that request.  I hope she is just busy or something, else I would think that she doesn’t want to pursue business with me anymore!  Gawd, I really hope she delivers!

Will trek the South Beach path again

On: May 28th, 2010 at 11:42 am | In: exercise and diet, fashion

I was out window shopping with my sister yesterday, and I must admit that I am jealous of her slim figure.  I used to have the same build and used to buy the size 6/8 clothes.  If I can go back to these, I would not think twice about wearing the following:

If I wear this now, I would look like huge (not to mention katawa-tawa :D )!

I don’t have any issues with the jacket, top, and shoes.  I have, though, a big issue with the shorts!  With the kind of heat Manila is experiencing right now, who wouldn’t want to wear p*k-p*k shorts?! ME!  I don’t wear shorts because of my gigantic thighs :D

These are just two examples of fashion frustrations that I have right now.  This is why I am preparing myself to trek the South Beach Diet path again.  It is quite a painful experience but it’s the “fastest” and most effective diet program for me right now.  Diet pills, I have considered but with all the warnings and numerous not-so-nice diet pill side effects I have heard and am still hearing, I would rather go the South Beach way.

My Daily Meal Plan (under the SBD)

On: March 1st, 2010 at 1:33 am | In: exercise and diet

I’ve lost a good amount of weight after two weeks of being on the South Beach Diet.  Who wouldn’t lose that amount of weight within a short span of time if your daily meal plan consists of only –

Scrambled eggs and fish tocino for breakfast

Less than 20 pcs. of nuts for your morning snack:

Salad and some seafood for lunch:

A couple slices of cheese for your afternoon snack:

Stir fry beef, veggies, and a cup of non-fat dessert for dinner:

Not me, as I’ve lost about seven pounds (i didn’t need those alli reviews after all).  One person I know who followed this plan lost more than ten pounds even!  The diet was really strict as no carbo, sugar, and caffeine are to be consumed.  Surprisingly, I didn’t feel deprived nor hungry.  In a few weeks time , I plan to follow this phase of the South Beach again.  In the meantime, I’ll enjoy some carbo, a little sugar, and a bit of caffeine :)

My Thoughts on the South Beach Diet

  • I am currently in Day 9.
  • These diets for quick weight loss are difficult but, I must admit, effective.
  • I’ve already lost between 5 to 6 lbs :)
  • I’ve had enough salads for lunch.
  • I cheated today with a cup of creamy mushroom soup with croutons and a piece of fried chicken.
  • Thinking  I should order the second phase of the diet but don’t want to spend.
  • I’d rather spend the money in a pair of shoes
  • Should really be going to the gym 3x – 4x a week if I want to lose more extra pounds.
  • Could I drop to 125 by the time I hit the beach?
  • I still have two chins.
  • God help me.
  • How do I maintain this (eating/food) lifestyle when day 15 starts?
  • I’m still hungry.
  • Those sugar substitutes taste awful.
  • Yey to Sprite Zero!
  • Fearless forecast: I will lose just 3 more pounds by the end of the week.
  • Amazing how this diet honed my self-control.
  • I’m still hungry
  • Can’t wait for dinner to start
