I’ve been a fan of jelly flats since I owned a pair of Melissa’s. I hope these would live up to my expectations of jellies. This is top priority as I’ve already committed to buy a pair from an online buddy.

2. Vivienne Westwood + Ultragirl III

I just love everything about this shoe -the bow, the tortoise shell-like color, the ultragirl style, the brand. Only thing left is for me to try it on. Once I do, I might be getting myself my 8th pair of Melissa (two of which will soon be out of commission — glam laces make my feet smell ; the sin, i’m not just fond of)

3. Black Pumps

The pair I’m using right now needs to be replaced. But I’m not getting THAT one (read: kennot efford! plus the husband would probably tell me to buy an XBox instead. hihi). Something from Kenneth Cole or Nine West would do.

I usually do this — stand in front of the mirror and take a photo of myself — if I am not sure of what piece of clothing to wear. In this case, I was thinking about which Melissa Night to pair with my outfit.

• My barely-a-month-old Anna Sui Secret Wish Eau De Toilette was confiscated at immigration. And hell yeah, I was extremely pissed! You see, I got that cologne at The World Trade Bazaar for, guess what, 40% off! And! I had only used for like, 10 times! But I had no one to blame but myself (which is probably I was so upset). I just dumped it inside my handcarry and didn’t even think of the airport regulations. Ayan tuloy Kelly! Tsk tsk tsk!

• Manu’s F1 cap, which was purchased at Monaco, got lost at Changi Airport! This was also upsetting as this was our favorite cap, add to the fact that you just can’t buy it anywhere! Again, Tsk tsk tsk!

• Manu’s Percy Lights and Sounds train (which costs P1,000 for a small wooden train, can you believe it?) also got lost somewhere between Pepper Lunch and Royal Plaza. At first, we thought that it was under our bed but when Gats tried to look for it, Percy wasn’t there.

• All of the above happened during the first day of our trip. TSK! TSK! TSK!

• We were able to purchase accessories for Manu’s train set, namely:

• I was able to buy a pair of Melissa Night which costs 50% less than retail price in Manila

• I was able to buy three boxes of Royce’ chocolates. Yumyumyum!

• And the ultimate highlight of the entire trip? Going through the entire experience with my Manu and Gats. Everything else comes in second.
  

I had first known about the brand through the shopcrazy website. I was initially intrigued by the shoes’ very chic and trendy designs, but what really whetted my curiosity were:

1. The Make. Who would believe these shoes are made of plastic? Yes, they are made of plastic. But not any ordinary plastic though. Melissa Shoes are made from a special material called MELFLEX^TM , which molds to the shape of your feet, thus the comfort and the perfect fit.

2. The Smell. Melissa Shoes are also known for their candy-like smell. I doubted in the beginning if the shoes will retain their sweet smell after several uses. But these shoes proved me wrong. My Campanas are a proof! They have been with me for over two months, and have worn them a number of times. In fact, I’ve worn them through a storm and were even subjected to flood waters. But lo and behold, they still are pretty and deliciously smelling as ever.

I currently have three pairs in my closet:

If you want a pair or two (or three, maybe four?), you could grab them at Mia Bella at Serendra, Mix at GB3 (where we get ours), Culte Femme at Rustan’s Makati and Shangri-La, and Anthem at Powerplant.

Tip: You may want to call ahead and reserve for a pair since stocks run out fast!!!
