It’s taking so long.
A few of the vehicles in our company’s fleet were affected by the flooding that came with Typhoon Ondoy. And as the one who is charge of our organization’s insurance requirements (life, health, auto – except rv insurance as we don’t have it in the fleet), I had to make sure that all of them were repaired at once. Claiming from the insurance companies was a bit of a pain in the **s as some took weeks before the letter of authority to repair was finally released. The vehicle repairs is taking quite some time too! Imagine, only two among seven of our vehicles have been released from the repair shops since more than a month ago. I am closely monitoring the progress and I cross my fingers that all vehicles will be released before this month ends.
Tailor-made Insurance
Local health insurance companies can take a page or two from the book of North Carolina health insurance companies. Would you believe that these companies now offer tailor-made plans that are as varied as the people who need them. Because of the variety of purchasing power and disposable income out there the “standard” plan is really good for a few hundred customers. What about the rest? That’s where customization comes into play. Instead of these companies missing out on this segment of the market, customizing a plan is their way of reaching them – with very minimal cost, but with all the profitability of the standard customer. I’m sure that once local insurers get a wind of this they’ll surely follow suit.

The Longest Breakfast Menu List
Everyone likes to start their day with a comfort food for breakfast. What kind of food do you take? This would be a good way to find out your blogger friend’s favourite food for breakfast.
All you need to do is to put your name down, the country you are in and your favorite breakfast meal. Let’s see how we can have this breakfast ‘menu’ travelled all around cyberspace and learn what each blogger living in different country and what they eat for breakfast. This meme was created by a little lady with a penchant to spy around little baskets while marketing. Her favorite breakfast of the day is none other than Roti Prata, an indian flat bread. What about you? What is your favorite breakfast meal of the day?
Longganisa, fried rice, and sunny side up eggs — my favorite breakfast meal since I can remember. Jollibee or just plain home-made cooked one is fine as long as my breakfast meal consists of these three. I just had it a few minutes ago, in fact. And three days before

Speaking of breakfast, I almost lost my appetite for it when I learned that another one of our company vehicles got into an accident. Although this is already the third car that got caught into an accident this month, I am still thankful as none of our employees were physically harmed. I am also lucky that our company’s insurance needs are being serviced by a dependable insurance broker. They definitely make life easier for me as just a few calls are needed and the claim is immediately dealt with. So unless they start giving me headaches, transferring accounts is an issue I’m not going to bother with.
If you are scouting for an insurance company, I could refer you to mine. Or, you could begin your search on Quotezone Insurance just to give you an idea of what the current rates and premiums are.
Bumped!
Earlier today we saw a collision between a car and tricycle. The tricycle was obviously at fault because it was on a counter-flow with our lane thus hitting the car in the process. It made us think though what a pain it would be to claim your car insurance from such a minor accident. What with the minimum participation and documentation requirement from us policy holders, makes you wish that you never went out for that Sunday drive if you’ll just end up getting hit by a tricycle along the way.
Up For Renewal
It’s almost time to renew our group life, accident and health policy with our HMO and although the existing package is already satisfactory, I am looking to improve on some benefits on our current contract. Addition of accredited service providers is one; removal of the “pre-exisitng condition” is another. I just hope I get these additional benefits at the lowest cost possible, if not the same as the current rates, as you know health care is getting more and more expensive these days.
It’s (Not) Unusual
We all know that celebrities insure their body parts as these are the reasons why they became famous. I heard that Tina Turner insured her legs (can’t blame the woman because those legs are damn good-looking!), Jennifer Lopez, meanwhile, insured her derrière.
I thought I wouldn’t be surprised anymore if another famous celebrity insures another body part — until I learned about this. I think we, or rather, they, have reached the height of absurdity.
