It was my third haircut with Chiyo. Being fully aware that she will do just about anything she wants with my hair in this 3rd visit, I was both excited and anxious. Excited and anxious, but ready. And as I took my seat after that 15-minute shampoo, Chiyo was ready, pretty much as I am. She asked how I wanted my haircut. “I don’t know, honestly! Just chop off the remaining rebonded hair.”, I said. She then asked if I wanted my hair short, and although I was a bit apprehensive, I told her to go ahead with the condition that the cut must not make my face look bigger than it now is And so she snipped away.

I really didn’t see how the hair cutting went because I was good as blind without my eyeglasses. After 30 or so minutes, a 5-minute rinse, plus a 10-minute blow drying session, I put my eyeglasses on. Then I gasped…

This is the first time I’ve gone this short and I must say that my perception of me looking less pretty in short hair had totally been erased. I sooo love my new haircut. I think I’ll be keeping it for a while

I know I could never sport a bob ala Greta’s so the closest thing to having one is getting her stylist’s hands to touch my hair. And that is exactly what I had done.
