Just went window shopping for a dining area chandelier (just a simple one for our meager dining area) during the weekend. There were already dozens of designs to choose from, each one very beautiful and unique in very different way/s. The one that attracted our attention most was a design by the Forecast Lighting brand. The design was simple yet aesthetically appealing and very functional. Just the type of lighting we might opt to get a few weeks from now. Seeing all those other lighting fixtures got me daydreaming again of our future home – a bigger house and lot unit instead of our current condominium unit. If and when we manage to get a house of our own I’d like to consider the lighting fixture from a certain Progress Lighting brand. Now these were really beautiful –the type of lights you’ll find in larger homes because of their very intricate designs which were so pleasing to look at. Of course, having a lighted house isn’t complete if your lot isn’t well lighted as well – outdoor lighting from Hinkley lighting would fit the bill. These were also very nice as they have outdoor lights similar to those well kept public or country club parks. Again, very functional but also well designed for home use. Of course, I’ll probably revisit these items a few years from now because of for now I’m just sticking to getting a dining area light for our home

My mom just gave me a beautiful watch (no, it’s not one of those solid gold watches!
though this comes close
) recently and I’ve been wearing it more than any of my other watches ever since. Who would not when its name revolves around exclusivity and timelessness? I could wear it with anything in fact, from my office clothes to my shirt and jeans get up. And since I’ve been been wearing it almost everyday and have been neglecting my other watches, I’m already toying with the idea of selling my other watches for a simpler version of this watch. I doubt that these watches could buy me a new one though as this particular brand sells in the hundred thousands. I’d probably still add a hefty sum to acquire a new one.
Since reading LOTR back in college I’ve always wondered how Middle-earth would have looked like if it were a place here on Earth. Peter Jackson gave me that answer! Now I’m hoping to visit some of the places where they shot the scenes of LOTR. I hope that when the time comes, I can get a good to great Auckland accommodation, and if budget allows a Queenstown accommodation (LOTR battle-scenes) as well.
Starting A New Business
Posted on 2008 under serious business, what i love to do, wishful thinking | No Comment30 May
I am very fortunate to be working in our family-owned company for almost a decade now (To tell you the truth, I really didn’t want to join when my dad first asked, but then he gave the talk and so the rest was history). The business is running smoothly, thanks to my father’s very capable hands and a great management team. In spite of being in the family business, I’ve been thinking of setting up a business that leans towards the beauty industry. On top of head, I’m thinking of a small-scale spa or nail salon since I love going to both
Honestly though, I don’t have much capital to invest on it so it’s either I secure a few Business Loans or acquire the mom as a partner and have them fund the business
I guess the better choice is obvious
.
Tell Me, Who Wouldn’t LoVe These?

I love how it’s screaming Vuitton and I love how it does it subtly (?!?). I love that it’s black and I love that it comes with shoulder straps. The only thing that I probably wouldn’t love about this speedy is its price tag.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Watercolor Speedy
Thank goodness for the more affordable version of the watercolor. Although it will still set you back USD1185, it’s definitely easier on the pocket compared to the Monogram Watercolor Speedy Frame. I heard it is due to be released in May, and I am already looking forward to seeing it irl - if I ever get the chance
So I probably won’t be getting my hands on those two in the near future, so I am putting my daydreaming efforts into something more realistic
, something that I have already mentioned before on this post. I saw the Joy Boston Bag last week at the Gucci GB4 Store and, dang!, it looked way too cute! Now I’m thinking if I’m gonna go for the purchase. Haaay… too many bags, so little budget…

Finally, A (virtual) Makeover!
Posted on 2008 under ka-kikayan, wishful thinking | 19 Comments7 Apr
I had always wanted to do a virtual makeover, but the only website I knew that offers this type of service doesn’t offer the service for free!
So so when I saw Joy had made herself over via the online site of InStyle, I just had to do it (it’s f-r-e-e, you see
)!
I really had a fun time doing this makeover. Hubby could tell as I was laughing like a crazy woman while I was doing this thing. If only I could show you the horrendous results that made me insanely laugh! Of course, I choose not to — just plain ugly!
Anyways, here are the better results (as far as I’m concerned) of my virtual makeover:
Hubby doesn’t like this. So let’s move on to the next pic, shall we?
Is to be able to wear this while looking like this before I die.
Here’s a secret: I use a special garment to make me look a bit slim when wearing body fitting clothes. I’ve been wearing it since I gave birth to Manu, mainly to hide two to three additional tummies
It had been my best friend for two years running, but I’m already thinking of replacing it with something that would make me not just look a bit slimmer but a whole lot slimmer. Do you think a corset would do the trick?
They say that
I wanted these footless tights ever since I saw them on Chuvaness‘ blog. But that was months ago, and my interest on the footless tights had waned (not to mention the unavailability of these in Manila) –until I saw them again on ShopDiary.
Aren’t they so fasyon? I thought about buying a pair since these tights have been haunting me for the past weeks already. I saw something similar at Zara, though I didn’t open the package and inspect if they were similar to the above. After putting some thought on whether to spend some on these socks, I put them down. I thought these would just gather dust in my closet as I didn’t have anything to wear with it! You see, if I buy the tights, I have to buy the shoes, a skirt, and a top to match them! I’d have to buy a whole new wardrobe in short! So until I force myself to spend 10-15k on it, I’ll let these socks haunt me in the meantime.
Here’s another look I am loving, also from Shopdiary:
Pictures no. 1, 2, and 4 I totally dig. 3? Pass
And finally, also from Shopdiary, I think this Goyard La Vie en Rose Croisiere is something worth coveting. Unfortunately, I cannot afford it. Hahaha!
