Binata Na

There are photos of my little boy that just makes me gasp in wonder on how he has grown for the past couple of years.  This is one of those few pictures that makes me realize that he’ll be binata in no time!  I think I’ll go crazy once he starts dating :lol: I’m afraid I might give the girlfriends a really difficult time (hmmm… installing a wireless security system may be a good idea  :twisted: )

Costume Approved!

Thinking of a Halloween costume for the little boy was really a no-brainer :D  I just had to choose which dinosaur specie he would be  :D

To save on cost, I ordered this ready made Dinosaur costume from a multiply seller last August:

I was told that I’d be getting the costume by the first week of October, but due to shipment problems (yeah right), the costume didn’t arrive as promised.  I was now forced to have one especially made for my MANUsaurus-rex :D

Thanks to Bumblebee, I got my little dinosaur’s costume just in time for his school’s Halloween parade.  I paid a bit more than retail  (not to mention,  some details weren’t followed to the t) but it was all worth it when we saw how Manu absolutely adored his costume!  Just check these photos of him checking himself out on our mirror (mind you, he kept on looking at himself all the time! haha!)

Gats and I almost begged him to remove it, and I had to literally tuck it away in our closet, away from his view!  His reaction (and his teacher’s :D ) really made our efforts worth it!

I’m posting photos (and some videos, if i can! hihi) soon.  Meanwhile, I’ll search online for a new table lamp for our bedside table.  Stay tuned!

Lomo Pic of the Week

Manu Wants…

(for the mbap party)

Any of these items in specific order :lol:

1. Beads Sequencing Set - Teacher M says Manu likes playing with this at school (available at http://comeandplay.multiply.com)

2. Shape Sorter Board - Rotate to Match - ako lang pumili nito. It’s cute and unique and educational (available at http://comeandplay.multiply.com).

3.  How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night? Book - Manu specifically picked this one.  He already has two of this series (How Do Dinosaurs Count to Ten? and How Do Dinosaurs Learn Their Color?)  If you can’t find this (we bought ours at Fully Booked), other titles would do :)

Mahirap ba? :D

:::Chickboy:::
~taken during the 1st birthday party of P at Hooters! some kind of party, eh?  definitely one of a kind!~

Please allow me to indulge on this one okay? :D

Gats and I had our first ever parent-teacher conference last Friday, but I won’t be telling you the details of what happened during that meeting on this post  :D   I’d make a separate one for that.  Anyways, the reason I mentioned that is because the meeting was held inside the pre-nursery classroom where the kids’ binoculars (Manu’s 1st School Project) were displayed in full view.  And dang!  Manu’s binoculars were just over the top good! BWAHAHAHAHA!  I don’t want to boast and all, but dang!  Manu’s binoculars were really way up there excellente!  BWAHAHAHAHA!  (okay, TBS pre-nursery parents, you can strangle me now! :lol: )

Teacher M and T mentioned that it was the students’ favorite binoculars, and the actual owner just “borrows” them from time to time :D

I couldn’t be more proud of the husband for turning this –

into this –

If you want to know his own account of Manu’s 1st School Project (which could pass as one of the promotional products of The Land Before Time Series :D  ), click here.

The 1st Project

At the end of each week, the school sends out a newsletter that offers parents a sneak peek on the major classroom activities of their kids.  I always look forward to reading these weekly bulletins but this one below got me especially excited:

It’s my little boy’s first ever project!

Me and the husband immediately brainstormed (hahaha) on what the design theme will be. It was a no brainer actually.  The design will all be about dinosaurs :D

The binoculars which came from school were just two pieces of empty tissue paper rolls that were glued together.  Just imagine how it looked like since I didn’t any more took a picture of it.  Now, a picture of it “semi-bare”, i.e., after the dad finished putting extra cardboard rolls at both ends of the rolls and gluing several cut-out pieces of tissue paper on the “very bare” binoculars:

And here’s the finished project!

Better.

I’m better now as expected.  I can’t decode what has been written as I really am not used to pouring my soul out, even to the husband, when something really bothers me.  From a third person’s point of view, I am my usual normal self, but really, my heart is already beating a thousand beats per minute, my hands are sweaty, and inside, I already want to scream.  But as I’ve said, everything’s fine.  The matter which most bothered me was much simpler than I thought.

So anyway.

The little boy will be strutting down the aisle again as a ring bearer and I can’t help but be excited!  I really am especially when I learned that he’d be wearing a suit!  Now that.is.just.cuteness.  Don’t cha think?

I’m excited to attend another wedding as it gives me a reason to buy a whole new set of head-to-toe clothes, and go to the salon and prettify :D  I am wishing upon the stars though that I could have enough discipline to work my b*tt off at the gym and not succumb to taking diet pills as a last resort to trimming excess body fat :D

Our planned Singapore trip at the end of the year may not happen, so I am a bit disappointed.  I was hoping to meet with the MBAP founder pa naman:lol:

It’s already nearing December and that means that more work is coming my way!  Speaking of which, I should be moving along because my boss will be looking for me any minute now and I’m still here at home!

Oh and one more thing.  Something’s wrong with my photo uploader.  I can’t upload my Pics of the Week!  Better find out what’s wrong and seek help from Amore.

Ta ta for now!

I know this is ridiculously late because my time already reads 1:52am, Monday, March 15, but WTH.  :D  We didn’t go through our normal weekend routine as we went to Canyon Woods to celebrate relatives’ birthdays.  I was looking forward to this gathering since we were told by my MIL, as Manu will get to meet and play with cousins he doesn’t see often.  We already expected that Manu will be having loads of fun (not to mention loads of pawis from running around open spaces within the village :D ) from the party, and he did.  Take a look at some of the photos I took from my new Powershot, which I painstakingly chose among several digital cameras:

A lot of people have been discouraging me to go ahead with my diet pills plan, but I so want to push through with it — especially when I see my big self on photos.  I really want to have my old body back!

~~~
My big girl has been in the repair shop for almost a month now, and I can’t wait until she comes home.  See, we crashed her into an unsuspecting taxi a month back.  We didn’t notice that the vehicle came to a full stop after it had bumped into another car.  Gats was driving our car at 60kph, and while he tried to avoid collision, it couldn’t be avoided.  Praise God that we weren’t hurt.
~~~

I accompanied the little boy to school a couple of weeks back while the yaya was resting due to a really bad case of tonsilitis.  I enjoyed waking up in the mornings to prepare his baon, give him a bath and dress him up.  I enjoyed watching him dance, sing, paint, and play inside the classroom.  While at home, I was happy that I got to feed him, give him a nap, and play with him.  Sure, we got into fights almost everyday :lol: , and taking care of him was pretty tiring, but I loved being just with him.  It was during this week that I found myself saying that I could actually enjoy being a stay-at-home-mom :D

~~~
The husband is really into this lomography thing.  He has purchased several cameras online and shows no signs of stopping.  In fact, he surfs the web every day and night for camera finds.  And just last week, he asked permission to attend a lomo event this Friday with a bunch of friends.  He’s never done anything like this before so this hobby must really mean something to him.  I ain’t complaining despite the constant use of my paypal funds :D  His hobby is relatively cheap (well, compared with mine :D ), makes him happy, and most importantly, doesn’t involve anybody of the opposite sex except me :D
Here’s one of my favorite lomo pics; taken with holga, film cross-processed(as if i know what this means! :lol: )
