I know I could never sport a bob ala Greta’s so the closest thing to having one is getting her stylist’s hands to touch my hair. And that is exactly what I had done.
Read the Inquirer.Net article about Chiyo Tagami here.
You could book an appointment with Chiyo at Sei Salon, 6F Republic Glass Building, Salcedo corner Aguirre Streets, Legaspi Village, Makati City. Telephone No. 8120943.
I am one of Chiyo’s happy customers and I really cannot wait till my next appointment. I am crossing my fingers Jen would like her too

Had a haircut last week. Though I didn’t look like Greta (
bwahahaha!) when the cut was done, I honest to goodness liked it. The hairstylist didn’t attempt to cut my hair bluntly as I have rebonded hair, and according to her, rebonded hair is difficult to style. She said that if I came to her with my natural wavy hair, she’d do a shorter cut. SO. She advised me not to rebond my hair and wait for about four months for my hair to grow back. Not rebond my hair?
I almost fell off my seat as this had been a beauty practice since high school! Honestly, I’m absolutely terrified of not having my hair straightened! but since i like my new hairstylist this much, i will lay upon her my complete, 100% t-r-u-s-t. And if she manages to make me look fabulous by the end of six months, sasambahin ko sya!

Ever since I turned 30, I noticed that my skin needs a little bit more primping than it used to. My lips look and feel drier, my eye bags are more noticeable, and as per my mom, lines are becoming visible. These are just a few reasons why I’m stuck in the internet all day looking for the best eye cream, moisturizer, and top wrinkle cream. Not that I need it now, but it wouldn’t hurt if I already start my research.

I am having a terribly bad hair and skin week. My hair has grown several inches, and is beginning to reveal it being naturally curly. I have a feeling I’d be going to the salon in a couple of months to have my locks straightened (which is a physically and financially painful process
). And then three nights ago, I noticed tiny bumps on my face. I thought it would disappear the day after, but three days later, the itsy bitsy bumps were still there! I am now worried so I might schedule an appointment with my dermatologist this weekend. I’m already expecting to bring home several topical medicines to correct what’s on my face. Although I know that these will put a hole in my pocket, I am not complaining as I know I’d return to normal after the regimen. I’m hoping too that my skin continues to be its normal self once I start an Organic Skincare regimen. I plan to research more on it though before I delve into this new skincare routine.

I went to Godiva Skin Station last night while I was waiting for Gats to leave the office. I’ve wanted to try their services for the longest time now because aside from the fact that their rates are really low compared with other skin clinics, I’ve been reading positive feedback about them.
While I was waiting for the attendant to finish her business with a client, I told myself not to give in to a seemingly excellent offer immediately as my “other” purchases would be in danger of taking the back seat (been meaning to buy swing sets for the little boy to complement his more-than-a-decade old slide
). Deep inside though, I already knew that my credit card would be taken out that night. Surprisingly, it wasn’t. I went out of the clinic even before the attendant could say hi to me since the husband was already waiting in the parking area. Good thing? A bit, as I was able to delay another expense

I had always wanted to do a virtual makeover, but the only website I knew that offers this type of service doesn’t offer the service for free!
So so when I saw Joy had made herself over via the online site of InStyle, I just had to do it (it’s f-r-e-e, you see
)!
I really had a fun time doing this makeover. Hubby could tell as I was laughing like a crazy woman while I was doing this thing. If only I could show you the horrendous results that made me insanely laugh! Of course, I choose not to — just plain ugly!
Anyways, here are the better results (as far as I’m concerned) of my virtual makeover:

Hubby doesn’t like this. So let’s move on to the next pic, shall we?

As tonight was the husband’s “badminton” night, I went home alone just with the company of my driver. But before I headed to the little one, I decided to do my regular rounds at the mall and maybe purchase an item or two which catches my fancy. And so I went to Powerplant, a top favorite which never fails to whet my fashion appetite. I went to Zara and tried on around six pieces, then to Adidas to buy Manu a new set of white sneakers. I almost bought the Superstar except that the store didn’t have Manu’s size anymore. And then I took a quick peek at Beauty Bar as I am currently looking for a good cream or liquid foundation which would suit my oily skin.
I looked into Smashbox’s line as I had just read a great review on its Photo Finish Light Primer on kikay exchange. I am really looking forward to trying this cult favorite, but I had to decide on a foundation first before making any purchases. I discovered they had an oil-free liquid foundation with spf so I thought this would probably be a great partner to the primer. I thought twice on purchasing the two products right then and there because I knew I could save a thousand bucks or so if I purchase them from an online store. I could probably save even more if I use coupons from Target or avail of free shipping if I use Macys coupons. I have to double check though if they carry the brand.

I was finally able to attend the Basic Make-up Workshop conducted by Myca Feng last Saturday.
The afternoon session began by Myca distributing handouts and makeup brush sets. She then proceeded to discuss topics such as basic skin care, basic makeup tools, and proper makeup application. The hours that followed included makeup demonstrations by the makeup artist and actual makeup application by the students. I was eyes and ears during the demo since I really wanted to learn how to apply eye makeup. I even volunteered to be the model on the glam makeup demo
Thing is she only did half of my face then the other half was up to me. Scary! I thought I’d look like it at the end of the workshop! Hahaha! But because she was a pretty good instructor, I was able to replicate what she did (save for the eyebrows which I forgot to line. hahaha). Here’s a photo I took when I got home:

- Fyi, Myca did the right side of my face, I did the left (notice the eyebrows?
)
- Don’t mind the lips as I already removed the lipstick after our merienda. Didn’t bother to re-apply anymore

That’s how I feel everytime I have my eyebrows groomed at the salon. Yes, I have my eyebrows done monthly through threading. It hurts yes, but not as much as the feeling of upper lip hair being removed! Yes, I also have my upper lip done along with my eyebrows. I already had hair removed from my upper lip years ago via IPL but it seemed that the hair has grown back. I think I should start considering IPL again, as this upper lip threading thing is killing me.
If you are interested in the procedure (which I doubt ), I’d recommend Novi from Hairworks. It damn hurts but seeing your eyebrows groomed is worth the pain
