My Kind of Work-Out

I’ve never been fond of using cardio machines – treadmills, ellipticals, steppers – since I started working out. I can spend forever aero-dancing on the floor, but not even 20 minutes on the treadmill. I look at the other gym goers and I wonder how they do it – concentrate and not get bored with just being stationary. I do step on the treadmill and transport every time I feel like it (which is like 2 out of 10 times), but as soon as timer hits the 20-minute mark, I get off.  I’d rather sweat doing something else ;)

    lately, i’ve resumed going to the gym (Gold’s Gym in Alabang), and i’ve discovered that i enjoy the pilates matworks class. I think somehow there’s cardio exercise because it is quite fast paced and i actually sweat a lot. There’s a lot of “crunching” and strengthening also. I’m seriously considering the extra “pilates” sessions.

    In addition, I plan to train for marathons (there’s one this July, 3K muna) and to take up tennis (so Glenn and I can play). :-) yeah, nakakatamad talaga minsan ang treadmill. i think i will last long only if the tv is on and my fave show is on air… haaay. i want my high school and college figure back!!! waaah.
