More Training Required
I read recently from a US magazine that US truck divers under go extensive eligibility training before getting a commercial driver’s license (or CDL). Can’t we do that here? With the already growing number of road accidents involving large vehicles, I think there should be a more stringent screening of drivers. Since these guys already have their licenses why not just have them undergo a CDL training program to improve their skills and understanding? It would certainly help better the road conditions if we have more responsible drivers, and it would bring more comfort to compact car drivers to know that the big vehicle beside them is manned by a true professional driver.
