The Advent of HDMI
Not familiar with these four letters? It stands for High Definition Multi-media Interface – which is really just a bunch of cables that connects to your LCD or Plasma TV. I don’t really know much about this stuff other than the fact that PS3, Xbox, and other high-tech appliance use this connection which is why we’re getting better quality video and audio quality when we play games, movies or even just watching TV. The thing with HDMI is that there’s only 1 or 2 ports in a TV but since all new appliances use this we had to get HDMI switches connect more than 2 at a time. Otherwise, we’d be disconnecting and connecting plug every time we use our other a/v equipment.
