At the end of each week, the school sends out a newsletter that offers parents a sneak peek on the major classroom activities of their kids. I always look forward to reading these weekly bulletins but this one below got me especially excited:

It’s my little boy’s first ever project!
Me and the husband immediately brainstormed (hahaha) on what the design theme will be. It was a no brainer actually. The design will all be about dinosaurs
The binoculars which came from school were just two pieces of empty tissue paper rolls that were glued together. Just imagine how it looked like since I didn’t any more took a picture of it. Now, a picture of it “semi-bare”, i.e., after the dad finished putting extra cardboard rolls at both ends of the rolls and gluing several cut-out pieces of tissue paper on the “very bare” binoculars:

And here’s the finished project!

It seems like everything modern has to have the word “digital” inscribed in its marketing these days. Gone are the days when “analog” things ruled the world (i.e. cellphones, microwaves, etc.), in the here and now digital is the by-word. We recently setup an lcd picture frame at my office. It’s so “all-in-one” that all my other frames had to go since is has hundreds (or even thousands) of pictures stored in it – On a higher note, Ayala Avenue is the location of the new digital signage which literally lights up the streets come evening time. Boring, non-moving posters or pictures – beware! Digital, though more costly and requires electric power is getting bigger and bigger.

Got this from Jane. Was just curious on “what my handbag says about me” :D The results are pretty accurate save for the practical part. Haha!
What Your Handbag Says About You
|

You are concerned with how you appear. Projecting your high status is important to you.
You tend to be on high alert. You are very aware of your surroundings.
You are a high maintenance person. You feel lost outside of your normal environment.
You are open and comfortable with who you are. You don’t hide anything.
You are practical and down to earth. You tend to be a rather reserved and quiet person.

I’m better now as expected. I can’t decode what has been written as I really am not used to pouring my soul out, even to the husband, when something really bothers me. From a third person’s point of view, I am my usual normal self, but really, my heart is already beating a thousand beats per minute, my hands are sweaty, and inside, I already want to scream. But as I’ve said, everything’s fine. The matter which most bothered me was much simpler than I thought.
So anyway.
The little boy will be strutting down the aisle again as a ring bearer and I can’t help but be excited! I really am especially when I learned that he’d be wearing a suit! Now that.is.just.cuteness. Don’t cha think?
I’m excited to attend another wedding as it gives me a reason to buy a whole new set of head-to-toe clothes, and go to the salon and prettify :D I am wishing upon the stars though that I could have enough discipline to work my b*tt off at the gym and not succumb to taking diet pills as a last resort to trimming excess body fat
Our planned Singapore trip at the end of the year may not happen, so I am a bit disappointed. I was hoping to meet with the MBAP founder pa naman!
It’s already nearing December and that means that more work is coming my way! Speaking of which, I should be moving along because my boss will be looking for me any minute now and I’m still here at home!
Oh and one more thing. Something’s wrong with my photo uploader. I can’t upload my Pics of the Week! Better find out what’s wrong and seek help from Amore.
Ta ta for now!

…isn’t exactly one of my best. Just a few of the reasons —
Her phone was ringing for like ten million times, yet she didn’t bother to answer (I even suspect she knew it was me on the other end of the line). Piss me off again and you get 0, zilch, nada on your fourteenth.
He didn’t follow the instructions I gave him — instructions which I repeated, stressed, and clearly pointed out. What the?!?!?!?
She reported that both he and she left and had a few “drinks” near the area. She denied the report. He still has to be questioned. Whatever the case may be, he and she must be warned.
There are 3 more days left before the week ends, and I wonder what else could stress me out.

Two months ago we were shopping around (via internet and inside malls) for a good digital camera to replace our outdated one. We kept on hearing that shopping via the internet will give us the lowest priced item – but what about shipping? And warranties? And after sales service? But true enough, after scouring the local shops we ended up closing the deal through an internet seller. It’s funny to think that the best buy is so far away (in a 1st world country at that) yet can be priced lower than what we have locally. Its probably the taxes being applied. But then we never stopped to ask since we got a great price for a product we like so much.
Anyone up for a 2nd hand camera?

It’s that time of the year again when we ready ourselves with the coming holiday season and all the hooplah that surrounds it. Since becoming a parent, the Christmas season has become a time to pamper our kid and show him how joyful the season is for the younger generations. Of course, it isn’t Christmas without all the sights and sounds – which we already start to hear in the malls. It is after all the best time for business as everyone cannot avoid shopping for family members, young and old alike. The sounds of Christmas are very peaceful and calming as lyrics never mention financial woes and economic conditions. At least during this time, we can all sit back and pretend (or even forget) all our worries away. Christmas images always begin with “chestnuts roasting on an open fire” – though as a kid here in the Philippines you’d seldom come across a house with a fireplace and chimney, but even then we’d still known what it looks like and can even imagine what it must feel like to stand close to a chimney with log or gas fires (due to modern technology though, wood logs and gas fireplaces are becoming less trendy as electric fires are the thing of the future). At his age, though, our kid is already looking forward to his boxful of toys – whatever happened to “a sock-full of toys”?!? Blame this on all the Lolo’s and Lola’s who pamper their grandchildren. Somehow one gift isn’t enough, two is not yet plenty…. You really end up with a boxful since you multiply it by two (2); three (3) if you have generous godparents!
The end goal though remains the same, whether you celebrate with all the trimmings and fanfare, or just simple and quaint – Christmas is a good time to get together and share the blessing of being a family (at least that’s what we intend to do).
