The Pre-Nursery Open House
Two weeks ago, we were invited by Manu’s School for the Pre-Nursery Open House. I was excited, of course, as this was going to be my very first as a mom
The Open House aimed to discuss the pre-nursery curriculum and show how a typical day of school goes via a video presentation. The presentation was very detailed as it showed:
- how the kids entered the class (standing on colorful paper cut-outs while lining up before the classroom door)
- how they washed their little hands before the class and before snack time (i like this very much — teaching the kids proper hygiene)
- how they sang the “Hello! Hello!” song during circle time
- how Manu doesn’t want to hold hands with a classmate (he kept on removing his hands every time his classmate grabs them for the song
)
- how they proceeded to the different learning centers (block area, dramatic play area, library, art center)
- how Manu is trying to scare the pet turtles with the dinosaurs
- how they said goodbye to their classmates and sang the “Goodbye!” song
- and how they walked out of the classroom
Call me overreacting, but I was teary-eyed during the presentation! (I admitted to this only when I learned another parent was also teary-eyed
) It’s such a joy to see your kid learning and enjoying at the same time!
The whole presentation lasted only for about 30 minutes and by then parents were all around the classroom taking pictures. Here are some of the photos I took:
Class Schedules
The kids’ artworks: compiled and ready to be taken home

Can’t wait to see my inaanak next June (tagal!!) Kel, I think one of Manu’s classmate is the son of Lyle’s family friend. Yung Rafa. Apo yun ng ninang namin sa kasal. Wala lang, small world. hehe
August 8th, 2008 at 8:21 pmang sarap sumama sa school ng mga kids noh? kung pwede lang din mag enrol para araw araw sila panoorin sa school – kung bakit mas behave sila sa school kesa sa bahay hehehe at kung pano makipaglaro sa ibang bata. and most of all, you can see their brain growing na din hehehehe.
