My Five Make-Up Essentials:
1. Shu Uemura’s Velvet Perfect Powder Foundation

If I could only bring one make-up essential in my purse, this would be it. I’ve been using this powder foundation for several years and I don’t plan on shifting to another brand any time soon (I am curious though how the MAC Studio Fix will perform on my skin). I love that it comes in powder form as I am not a big fan of cream foundations. Its coverage is neither too thick nor thin; just enough to hide some of the flaws. It’s perfect for everyday use.
2. Cinema Secrets Concealer

I just started using a concealer this year. Yep, just this year
as I never found the need for it (haha!) until recently. I really wanted to buy YSL’s Touche’ Eclat or Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage but in the end decided to road test Cinema Secrets. The concealer does eliminate dark circles, spots, and redness, though not completely. It haven’t caked on my face so far so that’s a plus. Overall, I’d probably give it a B.
3. Bobbi Brown Blush

Bobbi Brown was the first brand of make-up that I fell in love with. I especially love their lipsticks and blushes.
4. Burts Bees Lip Shimmer

Great for dry lips like mine and the hint of color isn’t bad either. This probably is the second most essential piece in my make-up kit.
5. Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler

I had this eyelash curler for several years already and I absolutely love it! This product truly delivers the perfect curl! I urge you to go and get one for yourself (if you don’t have it yet)
I want to know your make-up essentials (especially those chicks who are studying or have studied in cosmetology schools. I could take some pointers, you know
) Em, Jody, Gracie, Tracy, Peachy, Jesse, and Maver

Rising prices of fuel, food and raw materials! This is the hottest headline in the news today. Countries are bracing for double digit inflation which could probably come to a head still in the 4th quarter of this year. The good news? Hedge your money with what’s available in the market. If you’re patient money, go for real estate. If you’re after the quick fix invest in money market or even fuel reserves. Another investment that’s taken the back stage are precious metals, specifically gold, silver and platinum. I recently read that individuals are given the chance to invest (by some companies like Monex Deposit Company) in these precious metals whether you want it delivered at your doorstep or kept in safe storage at a bank or any depository. Worth a look? Definitely! And since its gold and silver, we’re talking about sure things here. Good, old-fashioned, physical objects (think gold bars). And, not just numbers written on paper. Its time to start looking; unless you want to wait for worst news before you act.

Just had to buy those for Manu when I saw a little boy wearing them. But I never thought buying them would require so much effort as I almost went to Trinoma all the way from Parañaque just to see if there’s one available in the little boy’s size. I didn’t do that of course. Just called every branch of Nike and checked the availability. Unfortunately, Manu’s size wasn’t available in any of their branches. I almost gave up until I remembered that Rustan’s was carrying the brand and they had Manu’s size. Such luck!
And now I am in the hunt for this

I believe this is available only in Hong Kong. I actually saw them first at Ocean Terminal but didn’t buy it (I was stripped of cash; spent everything already
). When we came home, I absolutely regretted not buying it so I immediately asked a friend to buy a pair for me. Unfortunately, the largest size available was a 7c, which is just too small now for the little boy. Kainezzz. I should have bought them the first time I saw them.
