We are going to Hongkong in May and I am excited! I’ve traveled to this city more than a couple of times already, but this will be different as the little boy is tagging along. I expect that this will be (like our Singapore trip) a semi non-shopping trip for me and more of a sight-seeing one since I want Manu to enjoy the trip most. Having said that, I’ll still be making a short shopping list so that I could plan our itinerary well:
- A designer bag for myself
- Something for Gats
- THOMAS trains and accessories for Manu
- More GAP clothes for Manu
- Digital camera

How a product is marketed is crucial to its success. This is why our company spends a significant amount of money, time, and effort to market every product to ensure its success. One of the strategies we apply is promotion of our products through product presentations and conventions. In these events, we use product displays (similar to trade show displays), lighting trusses, banner stands, etc. to expose our products. We already have invested quite an amount on such materials, and we are expecting to invest more for the sake of marketing.

I can’t believe that the GAP pants I bought for Manu last December looks a a size smaller on him three months later. I got a size 2T just so the pants wouldn’t be too big nor too exact. I was expecting that he’d outgrow them in half a year’s time but in just a couple of months? Goodness. I was totally surprised when I let him wear it during his birthday, and I couldn’t believe it was already bitin! He has just worn it like three times! I felt he had a huge growth spurt between the months of January to March because aside from the pants, I also noticed that his old (and relatively new) shirts are starting to look small on him already.

Looking at the chart, it seems that he just grew tall normally. And I thought he grew at least six inches taller compared to last year (exaggerated, i know)! I plotted his height on a boys’growth chart, and I am happy to know that he’s growing up to be the average kid:

I am very keen on paying my bills on time, credit cards especially. You all know that credit card companies charge incredibly high interest rates and penalty fees once you fail to pay on time. And although I am completely aware of this, I must admit that I have once risked delaying payment on a credit card and suffered the consequences. Good thing I live here in the Philippines where credit scoring is not a practice. Else, my credit rating would be less than perfect and securing a loan would be difficult. But to those living in the US where credit rating is crucial, consumers can apply for a credit card, home loan, auto loan or personal loan despite their history of bad credit loans. Consumers may even receive credit counseling from the experts. So I guess they’re still pretty lucky to have such companies offering these types of services.
As for me, I had learned my lesson and I never will again fail on meeting payment requirements and deadlines.

First it was Britney, then Lindsay, now who’s next? Looking at this disturbing trend I’m really glad that I’m raising my kid here in the Philippines surrounded by family and our unique set of values. Sure there are good addiction treatment procedures and center abroad but those are after-the-fact solutions. What we have here is a good way of prevention – family intervention. I hope they get better, though. We wouldn’t want our kids admiring such stars and all their emotional baggages.

I’ve been looking around for some party invitation ideas as early as now for our next big party. Ever since we made Manu’s 1st birthday party invite, I’ve wanted to top it with a better format and theme. I don’t want to end up copying another invite since I want our invited guests to see it as unique and well-prepared. I was checking out a site preparing invites for the not so frequent events. If they can make nice Kentucky Derby Party Invitations (a very unusual event!) then a birthday invitation would be a cinch. I think its worth checking out some more.

I love how a credit card sales agent grabs your attention by an opening statement such as, “Ma’am, you are qualified to receive a P50,000 check from xxx Bank.” If it’s your first time hearing this, you’d probably say “yes” right then and there. But I have heard that line too many. So even before the sales agent could finish his sales pitch, I’d cut him off and say “I’m sorry, but I have to decline. I really don’t need the money right now.” While this is partially true (hey, everybody needs money eh?), I really don’t want to be incurring another debt, most especially a credit card debt (which charge notoriously high fees). I am slowly paying off my credit card balances as of the moment, so unless I want to go bankrupt and carry out an IVA, I am staying away from these credit card companies.
