Archives for March, 2008

We have purchased several units of vehicles in the past couple of years. I have to admit that we got a pretty good deal (i.e., much lower interest rates) on the auto loans we have acquired.  I am not closing my doors though on any Auto Refinance opportunities that may come our way, especially if it means saving thousands of pesos that would boost the company’s bottom line figures.

My Greatest Wish

Is to be able to wear this while looking like this before I die.

A Secret

Here’s a secret: I use a special garment to make me look a bit slim when wearing body fitting clothes. I’ve been wearing it since I gave birth to Manu, mainly to hide two to three additional tummies :D It had been my best friend for two years running, but I’m already thinking of replacing it with something that would make me not just look a bit slimmer but a whole lot slimmer. Do you think a corset would do the trick?

Is it preggo season or is it preggo season? Two of my blogging buddies, Peachy and Mich have been visited by the stork and I just feel so happy for them! This makes me want to have another baby, though not this soon (maybe in the next year or two). This time, I am hoping it would be a girl. I am actually not just hoping, I am determined to make it a girl! Why? Because it is more fun to shop for girls’ baby clothes! (Babaw!)

Tamad.

That’s how I’m feeling about blogging the past few days. NO I AM NOT PREGNANT (haven’t been bitten by the pregnancy bug yet). I am just plain lazy to write and read (surprise! surprise!).

I hope to get my groove back in the following days because I really want to finish an overdue kwento about our The Boutique experience. So while I think of flowery words to put in that post, I’ll leave you with a picture of me in the tub (huwat da?!)

The Shoes Have to Wait

The end of the month is just a few days a way and I’m pretty sure you know what that means! Payday! For most of us, women, it is the time to hit our favorite boutiques and grab the latest pair of shoes, or that patent bag you’ve been dying to get since last year. But for me, the money goes to paying the bills, first and foremost. I do not want to become one of those who need debt relief because of debt troubles. I have always  maintained good credit standing with the banks and financial institutions for easy facilitation of future auto loan and home loan applications.  So until the bills are fully paid, those shoes just have to wait.

Moving from one place to another is just a drag. I remember when we moved into our condo a couple of years back. We literally had to ask all of my husband’s household help and drivers to assist us in the packing and moving of our stuff. I know we should have ask for “professional” help but my husband insisted that we do it ourselves since he didn’t want to entrust our belongings to people beside those we know. He’d recall how easy it was to do this in the US as the professional movers there are really adept in this sort of work. There are some helpful moving tips from professional movers, more accurately New York movers – such as start early and staying relaxed, which we never did. I should have read this way back then.

Time to Clean Up Our Act

River-side development? Where? Here in the Philippines?! Not really something we hear about everyday. It could happen. One day. When we’ve cleaned enough of our active rivers to make it all beautiful for development. See, in other countries, river-side developments are really prime locations, which is why there are premiums for locations near the riverbanks. In Singapore alone, its hard to come by a vacant lot beside the river-side because it truly is very beautiful and well-kept. River-side or Outer Banks rentals is big business. Something we might be able to capitalize on once we’ve rehabilitated enough portions of our water-ways (like Pasig River?!?). Hopefully developers will catch on and we’ll see this happening in a few year’s time.

Well, the Manny Pacquiao fight just culminated last March 16, and as everybody expected, it was a blockbuster event. Another bout set for the year is the Mayweather/De La Hoya match set for September. Their match last year broke PPV records (for a boxing match) and is definitely expected to generate at least the same number of viewers for the rematch. Similar to PPV sales, Mayweather vs De La Hoya tickets are once again valuable commodities, if you ever get a chance to get one. This will definitely be big as Mayweather will want to continue his winning streak while De La Hoya would want to exact payback from last years defeat. Whatever the outcome, I’m sure these two would be giving it their all – considering that their 2007 match lasted for the whole of 12 rounds with both fighters still punching it out until the last second.

On a more personal note. I’m expecting a big fight from Mayweather because of the trainer Freddie Roach who’s surely going to put him through. Yup, it’s the same Freddie Roach behind Pac-Man’s continued success. I think a see a trend forming! But whether Mayweather or De La Hoya wins the match, these fine athletes deserve it.
