When we hear the term silver we associate it with other terms such as 2nd place, runner-up or precious metal. Well, 2nd precious metal after gold. But in the world of precious metals, silver (whether its silver bullions, ingots or silver coins) might soon find itself vying for 1st place with gold. Statistics show that silver demand has exceeded annual production, every year since 1990. Also, a similar report says that above ground stockpiles of silver bullion are getting low, shrinking rapidly and approaching zero. Because of these facts, many analysts feel that silver presents an outstanding investment opportunity – if we apply the simple principle of supply and demand. Not bad, considering that silver has always come in second to gold.

I went gaga yesterday over the Thomas The Tank Engine and Friends products that were on sale at the All Aboard Toys site! Many thanks to online shopping queen Peachy for the tip!
My little boy so loves these trains and I just couldn’t wait to see his reaction when he sees the stuff I bought for him, especially the backpack with the lunchkit. Everytime he sees one at The Little Gym or at the mall, he points to it, gets excited, and shouts, “‘omas!” (which means Thomas, the main character of the popular series). I also bought a couple of Cars items because he adores the characters too.
So here they are. My first ever online purchase for Manu:

Carrying Case for Manu’s trains

Bought a couple of the backpack and lunchkit set in preparation for Manu’s schooling this coming year

Identity theft is not a big thing here in the Philippines. Sure, we worry about lost credit cards and driver’s license during a stolen bag or wallet, but that’s the worst thing we can think of. In the US, however, a stolen credit card, driver’s licenses or social security card is just the beginning of their problems. A site I visited recently called LifeLock reviews the different instances of identify theft and guarantees protection from each. This Life Lock Review is very straight forward and gives an idea, to even us Filipinos, on what’s happening out there. We may not yet have the benefit of guarantors with the level of protection detailed in the LifeLock Review but we can already get an idea of what to look out for and prepare ourselves better to prevent the loss of our good name from such a trivial thing as a stolen wallet.

I created two covers (bwahaha!) inspired by the two hot moms who tagged me.

I wanted these footless tights ever since I saw them on Chuvaness‘ blog. But that was months ago, and my interest on the footless tights had waned (not to mention the unavailability of these in Manila) –until I saw them again on ShopDiary.

Aren’t they so fasyon? I thought about buying a pair since these tights have been haunting me for the past weeks already. I saw something similar at Zara, though I didn’t open the package and inspect if they were similar to the above. After putting some thought on whether to spend some on these socks, I put them down. I thought these would just gather dust in my closet as I didn’t have anything to wear with it! You see, if I buy the tights, I have to buy the shoes, a skirt, and a top to match them! I’d have to buy a whole new wardrobe in short! So until I force myself to spend 10-15k on it, I’ll let these socks haunt me in the meantime.
Here’s another look I am loving, also from Shopdiary:

Pictures no. 1, 2, and 4 I totally dig. 3? Pass
And finally, also from Shopdiary, I think this Goyard La Vie en Rose Croisiere is something worth coveting. Unfortunately, I cannot afford it. Hahaha!

Gats and I went to see the model units at Avida Settings Cavite last week on our way home from Tagaytay. No, we are not planning to buy a house as of the moment. I just want to gather information on such properties as early as now.
Anyway, when we arrived at the site, we were greeted by a couple of brokers who toured us around the different model homes. Each house is fully fitted and furnished to the extent that one could move in right away (well, that is, if he doesn’t have a pet which requires a dog or cat bed. hihihi). Seeing those homes makes me a bit giddy on planning our next home. It’s not anywhere on our near-future plans, but hey, a little bit of dreaming doesn’t hurt.

My husband and I have seriously considered starting our own business. The dilemma, however, is choosing between getting a franchise or creating a new business, altogether. There are pros and cons for both, which we’ve weighed heavily and considered thoroughly. After juggling ideas between the type of products (food, clothing, service, etc.) and the level of investment (kiosk, stall, or space). We’ve earnestly thought of trying our luck at franchising because of ease of start-up (faster) and the time we can allot in monitoring and operating the business.
Any thoughts on this?
