Thanks Abie for considering me as your friend.
I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again nevertheless. I never realized that I will gain friends through blogging. This blog was born because of my wanting to improve my skills in writing. Now, I have made friends and am still making friends along the way. To Nice, Apols, Peachy, Jen, Jane, and Jacqui, this is for you:

The real estate industry is booming these days. One thing noticeable is the mushrooming of condominiums in almost every part of the metro. Every developer seems to have a condo project. This is good for the consumers as they are provided with several choices, but how would they know if the building’s construction is at par with industry standards? Most of the time, we probably would not know unless we delve into the company’s operations, right? This is why I think that having something like ConstructionSkills in our country is a pretty good idea.
ConstructionSkills is the Sector Skills Council in the UK. It helps the construction industry in Wales, England, and Scotland in recruiting, training, and qualifying the construction workforce. It works to develop the competitiveness of the construction industry. One way of doing so is providing apprenticeships to young people to help achieve a qualified and skilled workforce. So just imagine if we have something similar here: a professionalized industry with a highly skilled workforce. Then worries over the structure’s integrity would probably be the least of our concerns.

My barely-a-month-old Anna Sui Secret Wish Eau De Toilette was confiscated at immigration. And hell yeah, I was extremely pissed! You see, I got that cologne at The World Trade Bazaar for, guess what, 40% off! And! I had only used for like, 10 times! But I had no one to blame but myself (which is probably I was so upset). I just dumped it inside my handcarry and didn’t even think of the airport regulations. Ayan tuloy Kelly! Tsk tsk tsk!
- Manu’s F1 cap, which was purchased at Monaco, got lost at Changi Airport! This was also upsetting as this was our favorite cap, add to the fact that you just can’t buy it anywhere! Again, Tsk tsk tsk!
-
Manu’s Percy Lights and Sounds train (which costs P1,000 for a small wooden train, can you believe it?) also got lost somewhere between Pepper Lunch and Royal Plaza. At first, we thought that it was under our bed but when Gats tried to look for it, Percy wasn’t there.
- All of the above happened during the first day of our trip. TSK! TSK! TSK!
- We were able to purchase accessories for Manu’s train set, namely:

The Echo Tunnel

A limited edition Holiday Tunnel with Christmas Thomas

Quarry Mine Tunnel
- I was able to buy a pair of Melissa Night which costs 50% less than retail price in Manila

- I was able to buy three boxes of Royce’ chocolates. Yumyumyum!

- And the ultimate highlight of the entire trip? Going through the entire experience with my Manu and Gats. Everything else comes in second.
