Manu and his trains
Papa Bobot was forced to buy Manu a Thomas and Friends train set a a couple of months ago because the adoraBoy wouldn’t stop playing with the train set at Maxitoylab, and just refused to leave the store. Of course, the parents were as happy as the little boy because it saved them a few thousand pesos. Sadly, Manu wasn’t able to play with his trains “properly” since the train tracks kept disengaging from each other. We needed to stick the tracks together and place them securely on a wooden board. We decided to buy the Sodor Map wooden board, but unfortunately, stocks won’t be available until the end of the year. We couldn’t wait any longer so Gats decided that he’d make one himself. After days of searching for a jpeg file of the sodor map, he finally got hold of one. I then immediately sent the file to my tarpaulin printer and after a few days, the map was delivered. Gats worked most of the night gluing and hammering the 30″ x 50″ tarp on the plywood board. By morning, the DIY sodor map board was ready, and may I say that it could beat the original one! Now all that needs to be done is to assemble the pieces of the train set together. It was a lot of work, but everything was worth it when we saw Manu having so much fun with his “chen”. Here are some pics of our kulit boy with his train set:

Galing naman sis. Anything for the little boy talaga.
Btw, I have another tage for u here: http://howellabie.blogspot.com/2007/12/ronito-ronita.html

big boy na talaga si manu. he’s into trains and cars na din
i’m sure pag pinakita mo kay B.boy si thomas, magugustuhan niya yun
December 5th, 2007 at 6:18 pmHi Kelly
Super nice
Same with Andres, he just so loves Thomas which he calls “totoot” and Lightning, Yung mga Thomas train set sale sa Toy Kingdom, check it out if you have time. I got to memorize most of Thomas friends since the little boy watches it every single day.
December 5th, 2007 at 10:42 pmwow ang galing nga, nice idea iprint on a tarp ha…oo big boy na si manu mo. ilang taon pa, hingi na yan ng bagong makina (ayaw ng stock!) at nitros para sa car nya…yikes!
December 5th, 2007 at 11:40 pmang galing ni manu behaved. anton will surely knock down the trains kung meron sya nito
December 6th, 2007 at 10:46 amhi pam. boys love thomas so much noh? medyo pricey lang ang stuff nila, kaya hindi pwedeng bumili ng isang buhos
naku, ako din, nakilala ko na silang lahat (well, almost). and now, i find thomas cute, would you believe it? ang cute kasi when he shows emotions
sige, i’ll try to check out thomas at toy kingdom. i hope they have wooden expansion sets
December 6th, 2007 at 10:50 amwaaaah! ayaw ko munang isipin yang mga yan
ang mahal na nga ng thomas stuff eh
December 6th, 2007 at 10:51 amhi maybelle, naku! kung alam mo lang! do you know that he sits on the elevated tracks? kami ng dad niya ang natatakot kasi baka masira, ang hirap pa naman magkabit! try letting anton play the trains at maxitoy lab. i’m sure he’ll love it. and then magpapabili na yun. hehe.
December 6th, 2007 at 10:54 amhi kelly,
Naku there’s no wooden expansion set pala at toy kingdome, mostly the plastic ones and yung mga big train of Thomas. Pero cute na talaga si Thomas with his chubby cheeks
. Ako din I would love to buy the wooden train set kaso when I see Andres with his plastic train set of Thomas and how he tries to break it.. wag na muna sayang money
happy shopping
December 6th, 2007 at 2:49 pmwow, super nice! labor of love talaga
anything for the kids, right????
December 7th, 2007 at 8:11 amhi pam. parang the wooden sets are more durable than the plastic ones, in my opinion ha. try buying him one piece muna – kahit si thomas or henry. pero alam mo, once you go wooden, you won’t go back sa plastic
iba talaga kasi
you’re so right with thomas and his chubby cheeks! kaya pala he’s so cute!
December 7th, 2007 at 10:17 amhi jane, thanks. anything for the kids talaga. grabe ang effect nila sa atin noh?
pag nagka boy ka, makikilala mo din sila thomas! and i’m sure jon will go gaga over toy trains and toy cars too
December 7th, 2007 at 10:18 ami love the train set. Enjoy talaga si MAnu ah
Joaqui has the Blue Thomas train set in plastic nga, better ba talaga wooden? He also plays with that trainset sa MAxi toylab
Naku, wala na kmi space for this train set! LOL! I disengaged muna nga the blue thomas LOL!
There’s also nice electronics books of thomas eh, aliw nga din kami ni joaqui dun. While reading the story, u have to press keys for the sounds:) feeling bata lang ulit hehehe
December 9th, 2007 at 1:08 amhi peachy, i’d go for the wooden sets anytime
it looks better
plus it’s more durable. i’m sure nakita mo naman yung set sa maxi toylab, di ba? hundreds of kids have played there na siguro, and it’s still standing
i want manu’s set to be as big as that nga eh kaya we’re going to buy more pa. The problem lang is stocks are limited so we have to wait talaga. Buti na din siguro yun para hindi masakit sa bulsa
