It’s really difficult to find a decent helper these days. Early this week, I wanted to strangle mine because she stained two of my favorite white shirts! Just this morning, I found (again!) a stain on a recently purchased M&S underwear. What’s more infuriating is every time I ask her “Ano nangyari dito? Namantsahan mo na naman ba?”, she’d answer “Di ko alam ‘te. Di ko nakita.” Huuuwaaatt?!! Unbelievable! Eto pa. How come it’s MY clothes that suffer all the staining, and never my husband’s?! His barongs are white, and all are devoid of blemishes. Please explain!
My anger now 90% pacified, I decided to be a bit more patient on teaching my helper on how to do the laundry MY way. I honestly don’t have any idea on how long this will take. And frankly, I am terrified of the thought that this process would cost me. I’d allow a couple thousand pesos. And that’s that.

hay mommy kel, reliable and efficient househelps are really hard to find these days. just take it easy with your househelp, baka naman kailangan lang ng konting supervision to do chores right.
eh nakakapagtaka din lang, bakit yung mga clothes mo lang ang casualty. hmm, hindi kaya may interest si Inday kay Kuya? uy, joke lang ha, don’t take this so seriously. me just wanted to put a smile on your face.

Uy Kelly! I got your blog from Feng’s. Anyway, i know you because i’m a n@wie too. Mejo di nga lang active poster. I hope you don’t mind if i link you up ha.
Anyway, i can relate to your post. I have a new helper and mejo slow. Kailangan pang ituro lahat. That’s hard because i’m a working mom and i don’t have the luxury of time to train her. What i do is make a short informal quiz on what she’s supposed to do. Like the other time she keeps on forgetting what she’s supposed to do in the morning. I asked her to write all her task in a piece of paper then have it checked by me. Then she will post it in the fridge so she has a guide. After a week kabisado na nya gagawin nya.
I guess the best that you could do for now is train the helper on how you want to get things done. All the best to you sis!

feng: sure i could tag along! if i only knew how. hahaha!
nakakatuwa ka naman, giving quizzes to your househelp. me, still thinking on how to help my helper and yaya to be more efficient. right now, i’m thinking of placing laminated letter-sized papers with questions like: “have you brushed manu’s teeth?” and “have you given manu his vitamins?” on strategic areas in our house just so they don’t forget important stuff like that. hay naku, things mom like us do talaga…
nice: sure you could link me up. i’d like that
